Smart Start 9-13-2016 Correct the following sentence. Are boss told me and Channing your flirting to much

Smart Start 9-14-2016 Identify the type of irony exemplified. In real life, an ambulance comes to a woman's house to take her to the hospital, hopefully to save her life. On the way to the hospital the ambulance is hit by a semi-truck and everyone on board the ambulance is killed. You work all afternoon cooking a fancy dinner for your boyfriend. When he takes his first bite, he spits it out into his napkin and says to you, "Oh Sweetie, this is wonderful!" Romeo arrives at the Capulet family tomb to find his love, Juliet supposedly dead. However, we the audience know that Juliet is not really dead, she merely took a potion to make it look like she was dead for her own motives.

IDENTIFYING TONE & MOOD Warm Up 9-3-2015 IDENTIFYING TONE & MOOD For each example identify the tone, what context clues are used to convey the tone, and the overall mood of the sentence. Bouncing into the room, she lit up the vicinity with a joyous glow on her face as she told about her fiancé and their wedding plans. She huddled in the corner, clutching her tattered blanket and shaking convulsively, as she feverishly searched the room for the unknown dangers that awaited her. Bursting through the door, the flustered mother screamed uncontrollably at the innocent teacher who gave her child an F. The laughing wind skipped through the village, teasing trees until they danced with anger and cajoling the grass into fighting itself, blade slapping blade, as the silly dog with golfball eyes and flopping, slobbery tongue bounded across the lawn.

Smart Start 9-16-2016 Journal Assignment: Respond to the following prompt in a complete paragraph, ie: include a topic sentence, 3+ supporting details, and a closing/clincher sentence. “When the cat’s away, the mice will play.” is an old proverb. Give one example of how this proverb has been true in your life.
