The Feed & Food Sector Is defined as entire chain of production, collection, processing, transport, storage & distribution of Feed and Food from primary production (farm) to the final consumer (stable to table or farm to fork concept of the EU) Is fully harmonized by EU legislation covering Feed and Food of both, animal and plant origin Requires the EU Member States to organize the implementation and enforcement of the EU legislation concerning the production for the national and EU market & for imports and exports
