Pompeii today Today all we can see of Pompeii are ruins. But the ruins tell us many things about the ancient world. The disaster that destroyed the city of Pompeii in 79 AD preserved forever a treasury(宝库) of the past. Careful exploration of the ruins continues to add to our knowledge of ancient Roman times.

The Ancient City of Loulan played a very important role on the Silk Road. Chinese silks, tea, and jewelries were firstly exported to other regions and countries through the Ancient City of Loulan. Loulan

Loulan today The ancient State of Loulan was a small state established in the Western Regions in ancient times before 176 B.C. and lasted until the seventh century. It had been a flourishing community, but when the Han dynasty fell in AD 220, it was overtaken by the Xiongnu (minority people) who cut the city off from all communication with Chang'an (the ancient capital). and was gradually covered by sandstorm.
