UNSTOPPABLE VISION Acts 2:42–47

To know Christ and to make Him known

Acts 2:42–47 (HCSB) “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to the prayers. 43 Then fear came over everyone, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. 44 Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. 45 They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as anyone had a need.

46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple complex, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with a joyful and humble attitude, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to them those who were being saved.”

We need to be a church where …

1. Everyone is WELCOME Revelation 22:17 (HCSB) “Both the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Anyone who hears should say, “Come!” And the one who is thirsty should come. Whoever desires should take the living water as a gift.” Jj John 4:28–30 (HCSB) – “Then the woman left her water jar, went into town, and told the men, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They left the town and made their way to Him.”

1. Everyone is WELCOME John 4:28–30 (HCSB) “Then the woman left her water jar, went into town, and told the men, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They left the town and made their way to Him.”

1. Everyone is WELCOME Luke 14:23 (ESV) “Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.”

2. Everyone is NEEDED 1 Corinthians 12:4–6 (HCSB) “Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are differrent activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.”

2. Everyone is NEEDED 1 Corinthians 12:21–22 (HCSB) “So the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 But even more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary.”

3. Everyone is CHANGED Romans 10:13 (HCSB) “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

3. Everyone is CHANGED 1 Samuel 10:6 (HCSB) “The Spirit of the Lord will control you, you will prophesy with them, and you will be transformed into a different person.”
