City College Overview Six new teaching and learning facilities San Diego Community College District City College Overview  Six new teaching and learning facilities Eight major renovations Campus expansion will provide facilities and programs to accommodate eventual enrollment of 25,000 students Ten projects completed to date; three more under construction; five in design.  

Humanities/Business Technology Buildings City College Projects Under Construction Arts & Humanities/Business Technology Buildings Project Budget: $94.6 million Construction Start: September 2010 Targeted Completion: December 2013 Arts & Humanities will consist of 131,043 GSF/69,312 ASF for new classrooms, a lecture hall, computer labs, studio space and a 100-seat black box theatre. Business Technology will consist of approximately 62,480 GSF/42,040 ASF for smart classrooms, computer labs and areas for student start-up businesses. The project also includes sublevel parking.

César E. Chávez Campus Parking Structure Continuing Education Projects in Design César E. Chávez Campus Parking Structure Project Budget: $7.2 million Construction Start: December 2013 Targeted Completion: December 2014 The project consists of the construction of a four-level parking structure with 320 spaces to accommodate parking needs for the César E. Chávez Campus. The project will include 4,000 SF of rooftop-level solar panels.

LEED Scorecard SDCCD Propositions S and N In all, the SDCCD is on track to obtain a total of 41 LEED-certified projects - more than any other higher education institution locally. This includes the LEED Platinum Miramar College Police Station – the first Platinum for a local higher education institution.
