Violations by Year

GO/TO Self Certification, Sept. 2016 New standards effective 7/1/16 with phased-in implementation MOD-025-2 – Verification of Generator Real and Reactive Power Capability and Synchronous Condenser Reactive Capability PRC-019-2- Coordination of Generating Unit or Plant Capabilities, Voltage Regulating Controls and Protection PRC-024-2 – Generator Frequency and Voltage Protective Relay Settings 40% of applicable generation units capability tested or settings verified by 7/1/16 Based on each NERC registration e.g. Entity registers one wind farm; it needs to be fully compliant by 7/1/16

GO Self Certification, Sept. 2016 71 violations reported as of 9/30/16 MOD-025-2: 30 violations PRC-019-2: 14 violations PRC-024-2: 27 violations Primarily individually registered wind farms Reasons: Did not understand Implementation Plan Arranging outages for testing Awaiting third-party availability for testing

MOD-025-2 also applies to synchronous condensers. Of the violations in the chart, the following came in through SELF-CERTIFICATION: Mod-025 = 30; PRC-019 = 14; and PRC-024 = 27. The violations in the chart are slightly higher because they also include the SELF-REPORTS that came in ahead of the SELF-CERTIFICATION. The current period is the most recent 12 months. The previous period is the previous 12 months. * 2016 NERC Top 10

VEGETATION CONTACTS REPORTABLE ACTIONABLE NERC Q2-2016 Q3-2015 (Q2-2016 LAST OFFICIAL REPORT) SPP RE Q4-2015 Q3-2010 A category 3 outage report was submitted to SPP RE from RF through the MRRE program in 4Q of 2015. Category 3 is a fall-in from outside the right-of-way which is reportable, but not a violation. Two other Regions reported Category 1 outages to NERC for 3Q-2015. Category 1 is a grow-in from inside the right-of-way which is actionable as a potential violation.
