Motions Motions are the best way to effect change in ASHRAE. Two types of motions: Society Motions - If passed, get forwarded to appropriate Society Council, Committee, etc. Regional Motions – If passed, stay in the Region Motions are carefully prepared in advance of the CRC, submitted during the First Business Meeting, and then considered in later Business Meetings.

Nominations Society Level Nominations Regional Level Nominations Candidates considered during the “Caucus” Voting occurs at the “Executive Session” The Caucus & Executive Session are “closed door” sessions with results not publically announced at the CRC.

Successful CRC’s Are well attended by all the Chapters Have all chapters bring forward candidates for nominations. Have all chapters bring forward motions to effect positive change in ASHRAE. Have all workshops attended by the actual chapter committee chairs & officers. Are Educational & FUN!
