The purpose of Resource MIX is to find a right combination in terms of cost, core competence, short- and long-term business needs. Service delivery based on customer intimacy (Own resources: Local (Perm / Temp employees; LTAs; Outsourced emp.) Service delivery based on centralization (Borrowed resources from GSDC, PDU, for example STA) Service delivery based on sourcing (External resources: ASP; SP; ARP; Consultants) CUSTOMERCUSTOMER Resource mix Right resource mix could be significant competitive advantage – in terms of cost, headcount etc;

 Customer is the asset for any organization because every organization focuses on customer satisfaction. If you want to satisfy the customer then you will have to do the SWOT analysis for project & process. The analysis identifies the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats of a project.

Strenghts Competence needs clearly defined Connection Business opportunities and resources MORE is a start, and ties opportunities to resources Opportunities to resources Tools More is easy to use User Knowledge about tools that have been already used. More to HRMS Interface is being planned Planned Interface Planning perspective, Quick resource alloc. Common database high utilization More accuracy in planning Only way to know available resources Global visibility of resources Share resources globally Overall process break down structure

Weakness Different tools MORE, SAP/HR Not integrated system resulting in to many systems and a lot of manual work 3 different tools to handel what could be handled in one tool More than one system Risk for another tool, another Interface if not using HRMS in SAP Too many tools to maintain Mixed message. Should we work in or out of SAP? Or in more? Resource mgmt. Not yet implem- ented in SAP/PS Very rigid. No room for flexibility Customer require- ments. Can I work at competitors? DeploymentsTools To keep SPE up- dated with new technic and releases Information in MORE may not be regulalry updated Maintenance No interfaces means manual work No interface is built Information in More may not be regulalry updated MORE to HRMS interface is not secured in roadmap Not integrated between SAP (HRMS) and MORE Interfaces Unclear process at lower level The resource mgmt. process must be defined Processes

Opportunities Better overview regarding resources workcenters, costs. Looking further than our current way of working. There are many more opportu- nities than we know of now. DeploymentTool Opportunity to align processes and tools since nothing is really decided yet – or ? How to do global resource follow-up with different systems, tools, etc. Process Increased efficiency Support from higher management Big and unique database for employees When having a good tool, people will see the benefits from that (e.g. Reporting from PS) Globally reproducible way of working Connect resource planning to project planning Global international jobs

Threats Competence level Legal aspects con- sidered? (Privat or personal data) Job security in home organiz. if deployed to another Project Deployment Tools Another change Another tool Another process Another directive Organizational resistance Mixed messages and double work. Leading to non-acceptance Interfaces No clear scope of RM only BUGS or all resources? Process not implemented toget- her with system. Processes Diff. tools (MORE, SIO..) could be a risk for PS remod. project Where is the process?
