To what Native American nation has God called us?

What Native American nation has God called us to? The Dakota and Lakota Nations

What Native American nation has God called us to? The people of these nations are often called the Sioux, a term that dates back to the seventeenth century. This term originated from the name the Ojibwa called the Lakota and Dakota.

What Native American nation has God called us to? The Ojabwa called them Nadouwesou meaning "adders." This term, shortened and corrupted by French traders, resulted in retention of the last syllable as Sioux.

What is it the difference between the Lakota and Dakota nations?

There is no real difference. "Lakota" and "Dakota" are different pronunciations of the same tribal name. One Sioux dialect has the letter "L" in it, and the other dialect does not.

What is it the difference between the Lakota and Dakota nations? Of the13 Sioux political subdivisions, seven pronounce the word "Lakota," four pronounce it "Dakota," one pronounces it "Nakota," and one is split between pronouncing it "Dakota" and "Nakota."

What is it the difference between the Lakota and Dakota nations? However, even though the pronunciation is split within the Sioux, they all consider themselves part of the same overall culture.
