SATCOM broadband FDI Since year 2000 in the mobile telecom sector, as for DOT, FDI inflows over $18 billion into the Indian Telecom industry. As for DOT, the accumulated gross sectoral revenues reached over $350 billion. Every 1 USD of FDI in Telecommunication generated USD over these 15 years!

BROADBAND over SATELLITE prediction for India As for Cisco VNI INDEX of total IP traffic, India accounts to 5.5% of the global IP traffic. NSR predicts that global HTS satellite capacity will reach 3.5 Tbps. BIF predicts a projected required broadband satellite capacity in India of up to 200 Gbps over the coming 5 – 10 years.

The SATCOM FDI PERDICTION A FDI of up to 5 B USD, within the coming 10 years, is estimated by BIF in order to launch satellites, developing and manufacturing of ground terminals as well as investment in scaling up of professional services competence. These reforms have the potential to bring about an increase in gross revenues of up to 100 billion over this time span and also lead to a spurt in GDP growth

HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN There are 131M Broadband users as for TRAI Jan 2016 report As for IAMAI, DEC 2015 report, there are 402M Internet users in India. A World Bank report suggests that a 10 per cent increase in broadband penetration leads to a 1.4 per cent growth in GDP. AS MAJORITY OF BROADBAND USERS ARE IN URBAN INDIA, THE CONSUMER SATCOM BROADBAND CAN BE THE GAME CHANGER. THE FDI IS A VITAL FACTOR TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
