High rate detectors @ J-PARC Hadron hall K1.8 beamline can supply ~1MHz Kaons at F.F. Pions rate will be more than 10MHz The acceptable rate of current detectors ~ 1MHz ( for kaon experiments it is enough and they are first priority, of course) JAEA hadron physics group focus on development of high rate detectors 2011/03/01 @ 理研

SSD Tracker ・(Single Side) Silicon Strip Detector ・Sensor -- ATLAS sensor -- 768ch , 80μm pitch -- effective area 6cm -- radiation tolerance >3*1014 -- (typical operation voltage) ~ +70V ・Readout chip -- APV25-s1 chip (developed by CMS) -- 128 ch of pre-amp and shaper 2011/03/01 @ 理研

Readout ・ 128 ch multiplexed signals are transferred by 30 m category 7 LAN cable ・ Readout by FADC (10bit, 40MHz sampling) ・ Data size 64kB/event for 4 SSD -- zero suppression by FPGA is now test stage 2011/03/01 @ 理研
