Their flag The English flag has a red cross (called St. George’s cross) on it because of St. George. He had a shield with the red cross on it so when he slayed the dragon they decided that St. George’s cross with a white background would be the English flag.

Their national flower England's national flower is a rose because from there was a civil war in England called the War of the Roses. It was between the royal house of Lancaster(whose emblem was a red rose) and the royal house of york (whose emblem was a white rose).
