The Seasons The Seasons By Ryan and Shane

 There are twelve hours in a day and twelve hours in a night. There are 24 hours altogether. The Earth rotates once every day to make a full circle. It takes one full year for the Earth to go around the sun. The Earth and the Sun are very far apart. The Sun is at the very centre of our Solar System. Day and night

 There are two Hemispheres, The Southern Hemisphere and the Northern Hemisphere.  When it is Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it is Winter in the Southern Hemisphere.  The Equator splits the two Hemispheres.  In Ireland, we live in the Northern Hemisphere.  Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere.  The North Pole and the South Pole are in opposite hemispheres. The Hemispheres

 The Moon and the Sun are very far away from each other.  The Earth orbits the Sun and takes 365 days to make a full circle around the Sun.  But every 4 years it takes another day to make a full circle.  The Moon takes a month to make a full circle around the Earth. The Sun and the Moon

 There are 4 Seasons in a year. The 4 Seasons are known as, Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. There are 3 Months in a Season. In Spring there are February, March and April. Easter is in Spring. In Summer, we have our Summer Holidays. The Months are May, June and July. The Four Seasons

 The other seasons are Autumn and Winter. In Autumn the months are August, September and October. Halloween is also in Autumn. In Winter the months are November, December and January. The Four Seasons Part 2
