The ONE Commandment “Listen to Him!” Who is “Him?” – God’s beloved Son, His well-pleasing Son! How do we “Listen?” – We RECEIVE information – We RESPOND TO information

Have we listened to Him? Do you believe in Jesus if you don’t obey Him? Is it mandatory to be a disciple of Jesus to enter His Kingdom? Are you a disciple of Jesus? How can you know?

EVERYTHING to ONE Matthew 28:19-20; 16:24

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…, and teaching them to OBEY EVERYTHING I have commanded you…”

Matthew 16:24 “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and FOLLOW ME.”

Why Follow Me? Why choose this ONE command? 1.No one else in the New Testament gave this command! 2.It is implicit in the Great Commission! Only disciples can make disciples! 3.The focus of the command is JESUS! 4.It was Peter’s command! 1 Pet.2:21

Follow Me! MANY people followed Jesus! – CURIOUS followers (spoke of Him) – CASUAL followers (ate with Him) – COMMITTED followers (did miracles!) BUT, only a FEW people TRULY followed Jesus! – It was too costly for most people!

Follow Me! How? Become like Me! 1.Fish for men! Mt. 4:19 2.Make disciples– who make disciples! Mt. 28:19-20 BUT, aren’t there prerequisites?
