AQA Computer Science 2015 Specification (7516 – 7517)

The Summer Task: What do we expect you to be getting on with over summer?

Computer Science – Summer Task: Every year the students who give themselves the best possible start to the course: Put in the hours to learn how to program. Studied different programming languages (Python). Learnt how to use different coding techniques. Practice makes perfect with programming, syntax and techniques take time to learn.

Computer Science – Summer Task: A wealth of tutorials for many different and widely used programming languages. Create an account. Complete the Python tutorials. As near to 100% completion.

Computer Science – Summer Task: If you feel you have the skills and are up to the challenge, we would like to see exactly what you can do. Stretch yourselves and see if you can program a mini-game of some description. It can be designed in whatever style you like; Pong, O and X’s, platformer, text adventure… Visual or Text-based is fine, We will have a look at these when you join us in September.
