National Postal Forum ® Mailer Identification Numbers Mailer Identification Numbers (MIDs)  A MID is numeric code assigned to a mailer  MIDs identify you as the owner of a mailpiece.  All customers who use barcodes should get one, why wait?  MIDs are assigned through the Business Customer Gateway.  User guide available on RIBBs.
