Geometry Farris 2015

  I can measure and create angles of a given measure by using a protractor. I can classify types of angles by their measurement.

  Angle – a figure formed by two rays, or sides, with a common endpoint called the vertex.  Interior angle – set of all points between the sides of the angle.  Exterior angle – set of all points outside the angle.

  Postulate Given line AB and a point O on line AB, all rays that can be drawn from O can be put into a one-to-one correspondence with the real numbers from 0 – 180. Protractor Postulate

 Types of angles

  Real life angles

  Postulate If S is in the interior of angle PRQ, then measure of angle PQS + measure of angle SQR = measure of angle PQR Angle Addition Postulate example

  M M  Paper, pencil, compass, straight edge needed Constructing Congruent Angles

  Constructing Angle Bisectors Angle Bisector – a ray that divides an angle Into two congruent angles.
