COSME Programme The objective of the programme is to boost competitiveness and sustainability of SME-s and to encourage an entrepreneurial culture. Period: 2014 – 2020 Budget: 2.3 bln EUR

4 pillars of COSME  Access to finance (financing instruments for SME-s; credit guarantees; capital for growth - VC; business angels)  Access to markets (helpdesks, EEN)  Encouraging entrepreneurship (entrepreneurial learning, mentoring; young entrepreneurs and WE; Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs)  Creating better framework conditions for competitiveness (reduce regulatory burden for SME-s, support innovative initiatives, etc.)

Albania as a COSME beneficiary Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – Large network supporting SME internationalisation – Budget: 180 mln EUR – Supports: International partnerships among SME-s Advisory services on EU laws and standards Market analysis Technology transfer etc. Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs

UNION PROGRAMS Education, Employment and Social Policies HORIZON 2020 – 80bln EUR, – Research and innovation – Make it easier for public and private sector to cooperate and deliver innovation – SME Instrument ERASMUS + – 14.7 mln EUR, – Support education, training, youth and sports – National Offices – Scholarships, international exchanges of students and academic staff – Cooperation between Albanian and EU educational institutions CREATIVE EUROPE (Culture & Media) – 1.46 bln EUR, – Support Europe’s cultural and creative sectors – Enable up to 250,000 artists and cultural professionals, publishers and creative organizations to work together – Albanian organisations are eligible to apply for grants, for book translations, for setting up cultural networks, etc.
