  They could not bring a lot with them on the long journey  Whatever they would need to survive the journey and would fit in their wagon is what they brought Belongings

  The travelers faced many diseases  Typhoid fever  Cholera  Dysentary  Diptheria  Measles Disease

  With these terrible diseases along with starvation and dehydration it is actually quite amazing that anyone survived the journey  Over a 25 year span up to 65,000 deaths occurred Disease
