Horizon 2020 concept  Health research is part of the 3 priorities  excellent science  industrial leadership  societal challenges  Boosting the innovation chain addresses the need for better health research and care

need for long term commitment.. but innovation chain is long in health research

4 Health ● Understanding the determinants of health (including environmental and climate related factors), improving health promotion and disease prevention; ● Developing effective screening programmes and improving the assessment of disease susceptibility ● Improving surveillance and preparedness ● Understanding disease ● Developing better preventive vaccines ● Improving diagnosis ● Using in-silico medicine for improving disease management and prediction ● Treating disease Priorities 1/2: The EC proposes an ambitious program but budget drops from 12 to 10% of total budget..
