Copyright © Compusult © GEO Secretariat Define Area of Interest The information is used to develop an area of interest surrounding the new oil discovery.

Copyright © Compusult © GEO Secretariat Search for Data Discovery of various datasets is performed to retrieve data concerning geology, climate, vegetation and biologics. This data is previewed at displayed to the user.

Copyright © Compusult © GEO Secretariat Search for Data Identify vegetation and hydrography data sets,

Copyright © Compusult © GEO Secretariat Search for More Data Search for Caribou migration data. Separate calving data for the Bluenose East/West herds.

© GEO Secretariat Conclusions Draw possible conclusions from maps created and discovery performed. –The proposed pipeline route and crosses caribou habitat, including areas occupied during the calving season –A significant portion of the proposed pipeline extends over areas that are predicted to be south of the line of permanent permafrost later this century. If the pipeline were to be constructed, this change in ground conditions must be considered in the design.
