Invest in America GM Private Offer Program Details March 27, 2009

What is the Offer? $500 incremental cash incentive off the purchase of most new GM vehicles Offer is in addition to supplier discount already available through Invest in America Offer provides additional opportunities for credit union financing Current IIA discount to all other credit union members continues to be in effect without special finance rates and on indirect financing

When is the Offer available? 60 days April 1 – May 31,2009 Offer provides opportunities for additional credit union financing Direct loans only, indirect loans do not qualify

What does the Credit Union need to do to Sign-Up? Agree to the following conditions: –Offer financing terms.5% less than the current standard rate on a direct 60 month loan –Promote the program On website homepage Via lobby posters Newsletter articles –Provide member with a GM supplied certificate and authorization code at time of loan closing –Sign and submit your program enrollment form to or by fax to

What support will the CU receive? GM will provide a template that the credit union will use to print and provide certificates to members. –Customizable to allow the credit union to add their logo, contact information and authorization code Private Offer Authorization Codes, provided separately. –Credit union will add an Authorization Code to each certificate at time of loan closing All marketing support materials including Invest in America lobby posters are available at

Member Process Member obtains authorization code from GM registration site for base credit union discount (supplier pricing) Member will negotiate best deal and inform dealer that they will be financing through their credit union and utilize the additional GM discount Member will apply for loan at credit union (if not already pre-approved) At time of closing, credit union will print a Private Offer Certificate including a private offer authorization code Member provides certificate to dealer along with loan check

Marketing Marketing efforts should include information on the credit union’s home page and lobby posters Newsletter articles and e-blast messages are also available as part of the marketing resources available on Communications should clearly state that the incremental discount is from GM and the special financing is provided by the credit union Do’sDon’ts Promote the incremental $500 discount from GM in addition to the supplier pricing discount Don’t promote the incremental discount and special financing as a bundle Promote special financing offered by the credit union on 60 month loans
