Crop Rotation -Lord Townshed, also known as “Turnip Townshed” was the inventor of the 4 crop rotation. -Townshed was trying to find a way to make farming more profitable and discovered that when growing four crops, one each year, that more product were produced and farmers did not have to keep land fallow anymore.

Seed Drill -Jethro Tull invented the Seed Drill in order to make farming more beneficial and to grow crops much better with less waste. -The Seed Drill was a machine created to plant seeds in a row which was quicker and made the care of crops a great deal easier and resulted in less waste than the old broadcasting process. -The Seed Drill could be pulled by horses so not as many workers were needed to farm.

New Breeds -New breeds of animals were being produced to substitute the cattle and sheep from medieval times. -The new breeds of sheep and cattle created more meat and wool and were more substantial and did not contract diseases.
