 A Heatstroke is a condition that causes the human body to overheat, usually as a result of prolonged exposure to or physical exertion in high temperatures.  Heatstroke is a very serious form of heat injury due to the fact that the human body reaches temperatures of 40 degrees celsius of even at time higher

-Heatstroke requires emergency treatment, and if it is left untreated heatstroke’s can immediately damage the brain, muscles, kidneys, and heart -If the damage caused by the Heatstroke worsens the longer treatment is delayed, resulting in increases risk of serious complications that may result in death

 Heatstroke's can occur from Strenuous physical activities  This is called Exertional heatstroke, and is caused by the increase in body temperature created by an intense physical activity in hot temperatures  Any individual that is exercising or working in hot temperatures can get this specific type of heatstroke

-Another way Heatstroke can occur is due to exposure in hot environments -This type of heatstroke called classic heatstroke is when someone is being in a hot environment for too long that then leads into a rise in body temperature - This type of heatstroke occurs when someone is in exposure of hot/humid weather for long periods of time such as two to three days - This kind of heatstroke usually occurs more often to people that suffer from chronic illness or older adults

-Other possible causes of Heatstroke could be from wearing many clothing, due to the fact that it prevents sweat from evaporating, and cooling our body - Becoming dehydrated can cause Heatstroke, because by not drinking enough water the body is not replenishing fluids lost by sweating - Drinking alcohol can cause Heatstroke, due to the fact that it affects the human body’s ability to regulate our body temperature

 Heatstroke is always a risk in summer sports, especially sports such as soccer, football, and running where the human body is loosing an excess of body liquids  - it is a commonly known illness as most causes of heatstroke for athlete’s usually require drinking fluids, rest and being in cooler temperatures which can require them to take a break from sports activities for a couple of weeks

-Severe cases of heatstroke's for athletes could be very deadly - Many athletes who suffer from severe heatstroke's may have to take complete withdrawal from sports activity until they receive the right treatment -Heatstroke for athletes could cause problems such as organ failures to even extreme causes of death where they have been many reported sports death caused by Heatstroke

 For minor cases of heatstroke the best remedies are to get to a cool, and air conditioned place  Cool off with a fan, or wet towels  Drink lots of fluids, and rehydrate  Take a cool shower or bath  Don’t drink sugary or alcoholic beverages to rehydrate instead drink water

 For someone that has major heatstroke the first thing to do is call 911 for help  While waiting for them to arrive the person should be moved to a cooler area, and while waiting for paramedics the persons temperature should be checked, and have first aid performed if over 102 degrees  Paramedics will then treat that patient with medicine, and fluids until better or perform surgery if it worsens

There are many ways to prevent Heatstroke’s the most effective ways are to wear light weight clothing, loose fitted clothing Use sunscreen with a protection factor Drink Extra Fluids before entering hot temperatures Shift outdoor activities to the coolest times of the day such as early morning or after sunset
