Aim: What do we need to study? HW: Study for Test Complete Castle Learning

The Holocaust  The Allies decided to put Nazi leaders on trial for the Holocaust.  They conducted war crimes trials in Nuremberg, Germany.  Nuremberg Trials – 12 Nazi leaders were sentenced to death.

Review for Test  1.They invaded Poland.  2.Define: Holocaust: genocide of European Jews by Germans- called the “Final Solution”Holocaust: genocide of European Jews by Germans- called the “Final Solution” Rationing: limiting the use of food, gas and other items so that they can be used in the war effort.Rationing: limiting the use of food, gas and other items so that they can be used in the war effort.  11. Describe what happened to Japanese Americans on the West Coast: they are put into relocation (internment) camps because they were believed to be spies.  12. US dropped bombs on Japan at Hiroshima and Nagasaki – plane that dropped the bomb – Enola Gay  15. What was the Manhattan Project? Research project to develop the atomic bomb.

 16. Identify the Nuremberg Trials: Nazi leaders put on trial for war crimes. Held responsible for their actions. People have a moral obligation to not follow orders.  17.What happened to Germany after the Nazi regime? Germany was controlled by Allied nations.
