What Is an Entrepreneur? Entrepreneurs are people who launch and run their own businesses. What do you think of when you hear the word entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurs in Large/Medium-Sized Businesses Many large and medium-sized businesses have begun to encourage their managers to become more innovative and to take more risks. Intrapreneurship – entrepreneurship within a large or medium-sized company. Intrapreneurs – people who take risks, but not with their own investments.

Sole Proprietorship It is a business owned and run by one individual.

Partnership A business owned and run by two or more people.

Corporation A corporation is a company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person).

Limited Liability Company (LLC) It is a business structure that combines the pass-through taxation of a partnership or sole proprietorship with the limited liability of a corporation.
