Review for Eclipse Release Review | © 2012 by Review for Eclipse Committers, made available under the EPL v1.0 2 Introduction R4E is an eclipse sub-sub-project under Mylyn Reviews R4E is a review tool fully integrated with Eclipse that can preserve comments at specific line ranges for Java, C/C++ or XML files It will also allow the user to register comments at specific element locations in EMF based models. R4E Integrates with Mylyn Versions to allow the review of commits from multiple version control systems, e.g. Git, SVN, using Mylyn versions connectors. It will preserve the commit information to allow multiple reviewers to work in parallel, to quickly select the committed files and navigate through the associated differences. Three types of reviews are available to better adapt to the ways of working in the team: Basic, Informal and Formal (based on IEEE Standard for Software Reviews)IEEE

Continuous Integration Tests are executed on a regular schedule on the Eclipse.org Hudson instance (see Hudson project)(see Hudson project) Junit functional and Unit level tests are included in the test suite Test results and build artifacts are available to anyone. Commits to Gerrit are configured with the Gerrit trigger in order to perform validation builds and verify commits before they are pushed to the master branch

API tooling will be used to verify that binary backwards compatibility is maintained and no API regressions are introduced.
