BrightnESS is funded by the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020, under grant agreement Building a Research Infrastructure and Synergies for Highest Scientific Impact on ESS Roy Pennings March 31st, 2016

ABOUT European Union-funded project within the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. Support the construction of ESS in key technical areas and in-kind coordination.  18 European Partners  11 Countries  €20 M  36 Months

BRIGHTNESS WILL ENSURE:  The extensive knowledge and skills of European companies and institutes are best deployed for the construction and operation of ESS.  Technology transfer between ESS and European institutions and companies is optimised.  The maximum technical performance is obtained from the ESS target, moderators and detectors in order to deliver world class science and insights for materials technology and innovation.
