" A Special Memorial" Joshua 4:7-8 NLT Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Joshua 4:7-8 NLT 7 Then you can tell them, ‘They remind us that the Jordan River stopped flowing when the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant went across.’ These stones will stand as a memorial among the people of Israel forever.” 8 So the men did as Joshua had commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River, one for each tribe, just as the Lord had told Joshua. They carried them to the place where they camped for the night and constructed the memorial there.

Three Key Observations From Sunday's Message...

1. This Special Memorial would serve to remind them that it was God's grace and mercy that made it possible for them to live in their place of promise, a land of opportunity and prosperity.

2. This Special Memorial would also serve to remind them never to forget where they came from, and what they came through.

3. This Special Memorial would serve as a constant reminder to their enemies of what the Lord had done, and what the Lord can do for His people.
