CONFIRMATION Second of the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation Effect: Outpouring of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is our Advocate and Guide Bishop is the minister of Confirmation Laying on of hands, signifying the bestowing of the Holy Spirit, is the origin of Confirmation 2

CONFIRMATION The primary mission of the Church is to evangelize: to spread the Gospel – the Good News – the teachings of Jesus -- and making disciples of all nations. At baptism, we are anointed with Chrism oil, signifying that we share in the mission of Jesus and His Church. 9
