Seamless Transfer/ Degree Works

SUNY Snapshot  For Academic Year , nearly 62,000 students transferred to SUNY Campuses.  For all students who earned an undergraduate degree in  46.4% of baccalaureate degrees awarded to transfer students.  27.1% of associate degrees awarded to transfer students.  On a semester-by-semester basis, among all students who transfer within SUNY:  Key point  All campuses are both senders and receivers. Transfer Patterns

Sets specific requirements to address key barriers to transfer: – General Education 7 of 10 areas and 30 credits of general education completed in the first 60 credits of all A.A., A.S. and bachelor’s degrees AND – Courses in the Major Transfer Path courses in A.A. and A.S. and bachelor’s programs sufficient for junior status – Credit Caps Associate’s programs = 64 credits Bachelor’s programs = 126 credits Policy: Seamless Transfer Resolution Following two years of discussion and consultation, in December 2012, the SUNY Trustees adopted a resolution on seamless transfer

Results: Transfer Paths submissions 232 recommended revisions:  22 tracks added  101 courses added  55 courses deleted  10 course title changes  26 course descriptors added  18 pieces of advising text 52 Transfer Paths  Cover over 95% of all transfer students: from Aerospace Engineering to Nursing to Theatre.  183 mobility courses mapped to a database of more than 14,000 individual campus courses
