Opinions about the death penalty “Do you favor or oppose the death penalty for persons convicted of murder?” When the General Social Survey asked this question in its 2002 survey, the responses of people whose highest education was a bachelor's degree and of people with a graduate degree were as follows:

Is there evidence that the opinions of all people at these levels of education differ? Find the chi-square statistic Χ 2 and its P-value. If your work is correct, Χ 2 should be the same as z 2 and the two P-values should be identical. Are they?
