Alive-O 2 Term 1: Lesson 2 Together Again

Billy By Himself One morning Billy sat up in the bed. He said, ‘I am Billy. I am five. I can do things by myself.’

He climbed out of bed, ‘I can dress myself’, said Billy. And he did.

He went to the bathroom. ‘I can wash myself’, said Billy. And he did.

He went into the kitchen. ‘I can eat breakfast myself’, said Billy. And he did.

He went to his table and sat down. ‘I can look at a book all by myself’, said Billy. And he did.

He went to the shelf. ‘I can pick a jigsaw all by myself’, said Billy. And he did.

He took some crayons. ‘I can draw a picture all by myself,’ said Billy. And he did.

Billy went outside to play. ‘I can play all by myself,’ said Billy. But it wasn’t much fun playing on his own.

The other children were having more fun playing together. Billy said, ‘I can do things on my own, but I can do things with others too.’

Billy ran over to the other children. We can play together said Andy and Sally. And they did.

‘We can sit together,’ said Callum. And they did.

‘We can make friends,’ said Abbie. And they did.

Next morning Billy sat up in bed and he said: ‘I am Billy. I am five years old. I like to do things on my own. And I can. I like to do some things with others. And we can.

What can you do on your own? What can you do with others? What do you do with other people in school? What games are more fun when we play together?
