Skills for the Month of May Spanish Speaking Countries & Capitals Quiz will be the week of May 29 th. Project will also be due the week of May 29 th.

Essential Questions: N ame the world’s Spanish speaking countries along with their capitals? H ow many Spanish speaking countries and their capitals are located in the Americas? H ow many Spanish speaking countries are located in other continents? Name the countries and capitals and continents. Centro América y el Caribe Central America and the Caribbean Sur América – South America

S panish S peaking C ountries P roject a map of your country country’s capital, geographical features (example: mountains, main river, lake, location- neighbors on the north, south, east & west; etc…) your country’s flag flag colors and symbols Important Facts official language population brief history: independence day, and 2 significant events, 2 important holidays climate 3 natural resources, 3 main crops name of currency & exchange rate, and drawing/picture of a currency bill name of dance and/or type of music one main (food) dish – a drawing/picture and recipe Interesting Facts What is your country well known for around the world? What are at least 2 tourist attractions your country has to offer?

Your project can be turned in either as a Power Point or in a Poster form on May 29 th, You can either turn in your project as a Power Point Presentation or as a Poster. You can either me your Power Point at or you can bring a flash drive with the Power Point. Your Poster should have the specifications that are on your Project Handout.
