How to Fold the Mini-Booklet No glue, no tape, no scissors—just your fingers, thumbnails, pencil or bone folder. The text is up to you. Remember to make the text opposite and upside down along the length. Avoid folding any of your pages around anything else. Slide show and text by C. Millis, HCC SW

Lay the printed document face up.

Fold the page in half lengthwise. Match the corners. Fold crisply down the center.

Firmly press all the way to the ends. Use your thumbnails or the side of a pencil for a sharper fold.

Open the folded paper. Now fold in half widthwise. Match the corners.

Firmly press to the edges. Use your thumbnails or the side of a pencil for a sharper fold.

Open the folded paper. Take one end of the width of the paper and fold the edge to the middle fold.

Crisply fold

Turn the entire piece and fold the opposite edge to the middle fold.

Crisply fold this side as well. Your paper is now folded into 8 sections. Open then entire page again.

Fold in half lengthwise again. Determine where you will tear. If using a template with dotted lines for the folds and a solid line for tearing *stress the fold along the solid line using a pencil, your thumbnail, or a bone folder. *stressing the fold means to rub over it several times so the paper will tear easily.

Fold back on itself, two right sides together. Fold 3-4 times on the along the segments you are stressing.

Open the whole sheet and fold blank sides together, stressing the folds 3-4 times again.

When you are done Stressing ;^>...

Open to the full sheet and gently tear the stressed fold at the end where you want the first page to appear.

Stop tearing at the third intersection of folds. Avoid tearing to the end.

La voila! Eureka! Cool!

Fold page one back on itself. make a crisp Fold.

Fold the second page under, like an accordion fold.

Fold pages 3 & 4 face to face.

Fold page 4 back to back, (blank to blank), against the length of the paper.

Continue to accordion fold...

and accordion fold...

...until you are done. You will now have a folded book measuring 4¼ ” x 2¾ ”
