 E gypt ERA aims to establishing a liberalized electricity market in Egypt and consequently creating a fully competitive environment.  This approach will act as the first step towards a more ambitious target – Regional Market.

This could be achieved through: ownership unbundling  ownership unbundling from the holding company, and Third Party Access  guaranteeing Third Party Access to both the transmission and distribution networks.

A t present, EgyptERA is formulating a draft set of agreements to encourage private sector participation in power generation through establishing bilateral agreements.

T he consultant shall assist E gypt ERA in:  drafting contracts between the transmission network, distribution networks, consumers, and generators for the use of network in exercising Third Party Access rights including “Distributed Generation”.  developing contracts for “Non-continuous Supply”
