Why apply for grants? Growth and development of your Centre’s staff and operations To be innovative and try new ideas To bring new people into team

What do I apply for? Pilot projects Resources Workshops Service Delivery Models

What you need to do? Be aware of gaps in your community and resources available to your Centre Be aware of what other CLC’s are doing Be connected to different funding sources so you know when rounds open/close

When decide to write a funding application – some steps Read guidelines/deadlines/information sessions How does your project fit within guidelines Read each section and start filling out Who will supervise the project – get them involved from the beginning Do you have/need partners – get them involved from the beginning and keep informed Plan how the project will look if running and work backwards – develop a realistic timeline

Examples Aims/Objectives/Action Plan/Evaluation This project aims to increase knowledge amongst south coast Indigenous women about the criminal justice process, their rights and how to access services for assistance within their local area thus empowering them to use indigenous specific and mainstream services to their benefit.
