Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) City of Patterson’s April 19, 2016

What is an Urban Water Management Plan?  UWMPs are required by CA Dept. of Water Resources for larger water providers  The documents follow DWR guidelines for content  UWMPs are planning documents that help water providers evaluate their future water security  Planning horizon of 2040  Starting in 2010, UWMPs also required per capita water use reporting (SB X7-7, 20x2020) to track water conservation compliance  The UWMP is a requirement for State funding

Public Notification  Notice of Intent to Update UWMP  Letters sent to County and potential Groundwater Sustainability Agency partners in February  Follow-up letter sent in March  Notice of Public Review and Adoption  Billing notice  Online notice  Newspaper notice

Primary Components of 2015 UWMP  Population and demand analysis  Supply analysis  Per capita water use targets and compliance  Demand Management Measures  Water Shortage Contingency Plan  Additional analysis - Water Loss Audit
