Colored #’s are: A Composite # is: A # that has other #’s that go into it besides 1 & itself. Circled #’s are: A Prime # is: A # that can only be divided evenly by itself or 1 1 is neither prime nor composite because: it only has one factor - itself. Therefore it can't be prime or composite (not enough factors). 0 is neither prime nor composite because: every number is a factor of 0 giving it too many factors to count. Every number can divide into 0 0 can’t be divided by itself! Try 0 ÷ 0 on your calculator.
