Dear Lord, We ask that St Sebastian and St Anne watch over us during this special time of Reconciliation and continue to do so throughout our First Holy Communion. We pray for your forgiveness for the wrong we have done, we will say sorry if we have hurt someone or hurt their feelings. We are sorry for are sins so please forgive us. We pray that you are with us during this special time as we say our first confession and then through our journey of faith as we receive our First Holy Communion. Please help us to follow in your footsteps during this Year of Mercy. We pray for our friends, families and teachers and ask them to support us through our journey. Amen By Aidan and Imogen

Dear Lord, Reconciliation is a time to clean our hearts and ask for a new start. We will try not to sin again as we go through life. We also think about forgiveness during Reconciliation because we need to be able to forgive other people for their sins. When we sin we ask for your forgiveness and we make a promise to try not to sin again. During Reconciliation we continue on our journey of faith, one which starts and will never end. Bless all the Year 3 children as they celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation today. May they feel closer to God, continue to make good choices and live in the way Jesus teaches. Bless their families and help them to continue to support and be good role models to their children as they continue in their journey of Faith especially during this Year of Mercy. Bless all the teachers who help the children. Help them to inspire and guide the children as they prepare the children to receive the Sacraments this year and share the teachings of Jesus and the Catholic Church. Bless Father Gwil. May God be with him as he helps us to understand the importance of the Sacraments the children are preparing for and celebrating. May God continue to strengthen and guide him as he continues in his work serving God and the parish of St Anne’s. Thank you God, for allowing me the privilege of working with this class full of amazing, talented and special children.
