Teacher Leader Endorsement Programme Modeling Exemplary Mathematics Teaching Session 1 Facilitator: Rebeka Matthews Sousa Mathematics Specialist Teacher, Ministry of Education 1

During this session, Teachers will:  Mix, mingle and connect with other educators discussing how they are teaching through problem solving, discussing their focus or instructional goal and identifying why they have shown an interest in this programme.  Celebrate all participants of the Teacher Leader Endorsement Programme.  Brainstorm their ideas as to what an exemplary lesson looks like, feels like and sounds like.  Create a rubric that describes the standard for teaching through problem solving Key Understandings 2

Find three people that meet the following criteria: 1.Same year level 2.Same school zone 3.Someone new (Write their name above the step.) 3 ENGAGE
