FOOD BANK By Filimon.A,Joyce K & St Philip’s Student Council

WELCOME  Welcome to our assembly about the food bank. We are the school councillors of your St Philip’s School, and also represent our school at the Student Cluster Council (YESSmethwick). This is when all the schools in Smethwick gather round and talk about the community and ways to make it better for all who live here. Ok lets get to the point, who knows what a Food Bank is?

A FOOD BANK IS…  When people from the community as well as businesses collect cans of food and various other food items for needy families. Our local food bank is Brushstrokes. Our Church has a collection point situated at the rear for parishioners to donate cans.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO?  All you will need to do is come to school on Friday 14 th March 2014 in mufty clothing. And you wont need to pay in a pound or 50p. You will just need to bring in a tin can of food ….  BUT please don’t bring in out of date cans.

 Thank you for listening if you need more information ask your school councillor in your class.
