The difference between Christian and Disciple is simply this: Christian is about what one believes. Disciple is all about what a person actually does.

Another way to look at it could be… “Christian” can often become an ACT. “Disciple” is always an ACTION.

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16

IF YOU WANT TO LIVE MORE THAN THE TITLE “CHRISTIAN”, YOU MUST ANSWER THESE THREE “WOULD YOU RATHER” QUESTIONS.

1. A question of DESIRE : Am I really drawn to follow Jesus or would I rather just play the part?

2. A question of DECISION: Am I really willing to not do my plans or would I rather do what’s best for me?

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10:39

3. A question of DEVOTION: What am I building my life on?

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:21-27
