OVOCA FALLS was a State Park The Orphanage was over here… The statue above the falls was stolen from the state capitol grounds in 1945, and discovered here in 2006…they didn’t want it back… The water is 53 degrees, year round!
Hope I don’t fall!!! The Orphanage was originally to be used in Stephen King’s FIRESTARTER movie with Drew Barrymore and burned down. Judy Garland’s father, Frank Gumm, managed The Orphanage for a short time The orphanage burned in 1992
