What makes us eat? Hunger: A natural physical drive that protects you from starvation. Appetite: A desire, not a need, to eat.

Influences on Food Choices Personal likes/ dislikes Emotions Stress, frustration, depression and boredom. Parents Peers Culture Economics Food Allergies/ Intolerances

Do you know any Dietary Guidelines? Brainstorm: In a group come up w/ 4 dietary guidelines. Write your guidelines on the board and explain why you think these are should be guidelines.
