Traveling to England Today you are going to learn about another country in Europe, named England.(Using a globe fly Mr. Traveler from Ohio to England) (Page 39 in workbook – map of Europe – Have students color England orange and fill in N, S, W, & E on compass rose) England is an island. Activity 4. London’s Bridge In England there is a great port city called London. In London they built the first stone bridge. People built their houses on the bridge and soon the weight of the buildings started to press down on the bridge and London Bridge began to fall down. They replaced the bridge with a new bridge you can visit in London today. (Turn to pg. 43 in workbook and sing “London Bridge is Falling Down”)
