Presentation transcript:

Tracking Your Money Module 4.1

Vocabulary Check: a legal written document directing a financial institution to pay out funds from a specific account to a person or business Debit card: a plastic card that acts like a check allowing you to access funds without physically writing a check. It functions like a credit card only the funds are deducted instantly from your checking account.

 A check is a legal document and must be filled in correctly.  Never have your Social Security Number or Driver’s License number printed on your check.  The key to managing your account is writing down every withdrawal or deposit into your account and every fee you pay for those services.  Maintaining an accurate record of your transactions is the only way to protect yourself from costly mistakes with your bank account.
