Born: Aug 28, 1965 Eileen Regina Edwards In Windsor, Canada Changed name to Shania in 1993, which means “On my way”. Twain comes from her Step-Father who adopted her as a child.

Work History Started singing in bars at age 8. Wrote 1 st songs at 10. At 13 she was asked to perform on CBS’s Tommy Hunter show. Also sang with a local band called “Longshot” Early 80’s worked with fathers reforestation business in Ontario.

Music training She received singing lessons from coach Ian Garret. She would clean his house for payment
