Water Conservation and Recycling Roundtable Interim Federal Action Plan for the California Bay-Delta April 8, 2010

Federal, State, and local authorities work in concert to encourage the smarter supply and use of Bay-Delta water Intensify and align Federal and State water conservation and recycling efforts Initiate joint planning activities Priorities

Conservation and Recycling Provide additional interagency collaboration and program coordination which is essential for sustainable management of the Bay-Delta Interagency collaboration and coordination that benefits stakeholders

Water Conservation – Department of Water Resources – California Department of Public Health – State Water Resources Control Board – Natural Resources Conservation Service – US Environmental Protection Agency – US Army Corps of Engineers – Bureau of Reclamation Agencies already providing technical and financial assistance for water conservation:

Water Recycling – California Department of Public Health – State Water Resources Control Board – US Environmental Protection Agency – US Army Corp of Engineers – Bureau of Reclamation Agencies already providing technical and financial assistance :

Interagency Collaborations Criteria for Collaborations: – Builds upon agency mission and program – Focuses on overlapping authorities – Streamlines processes – Generates multiple benefits – Cost effective from a statewide perspective – Rapid Implementation – Expansion possibilities based upon success – Assists stakeholders with conservation and recycling efforts
