SS Page 1 Chapter 1  A Historian likes to study the past and artifacts from long ago.  A geographer likes to study where places are and Earths surface.  Social scientists like to study the ways people live in groups.  Economists like to study how people meet their needs and wants.

SS Chapter 2  On a map, the color blue represents water.  You can find out what the symbols on a map stand for by looking at the key.  If you want to get from place to another you use a road map.  The four specialty maps are the Annual rainfall map, Population Density map, Elevation map and Ragional map.
